Dawn K. Wing

Dawn Wing is an interdisciplinary poet-artist, visual storyteller and educator of Chinese-descent based in St. Paul, MN. She graduated from Wellesley College with a BA in Studio Art and Art History. While earning her Master's in Library Studies at UW-Madison, Dawn also studied with cartoonist Lynda Barry in producing image + text narratives.


Dawn creates art as a way to interconnect with nature & humanity, and to further collective liberation through BIPOC joy, resilience & resistance. Since 2008, she has exhibited her work at zines and comics festivals across the US (Minneapolis, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, Seattle & New Orleans) and internationally (Berlin & Toronto).

Her interest includes: comics, book/paper arts, painting, photography, printmaking and collage. She enjoys experimenting with mixed media to create graphic poetry and visual narratives through interactive, accessible artist book formats.
